notstevejobs: (omg let's invent)

I keep forgetting to update this thing -- I've been so busy lately researching the mold in the boy's restrooms here on campus.

Did you know that there are at least 27 different varieties of mold growing in the boy's restrooms here? My research into them has been fascinating.

I may be onto a breakthrough in the surprisingly untapped area of mold-powered steam engines! Imagine robots that produce penicillin as a byproduct of turning them on!

Mr. Kyle, you have at least four distinct varieties in your bathroom -- did you know that?

Mr. Kyle, I sneaked into your bathroom to do studies on mold -- did you know that?

Is anyone willing to fund some research into mold-powered steam-engine robots? It'll be a breakthrough in robotics and also medicine at the same time!

There's probably mold in the girl's restrooms, too.

Only I didn't check in there because it would be indecent.

[Lash borrowed some money and put it into Apple Kid's paymepal account from a m mysterious benefactor. There is an e-mail address that asks for details once the research has been complete.]

[First Jeff was like "GROSS" and then he was like "APPLE KID, MY NEMESIS!" but then he was like "actually that sounds pretty cool" so he gave $20 to Appol Kids. I-it's all he has right now. Sob.]

That's why I don't use the public ones. They're nasty. And they have freaks like you collecting mold, even if you yourself didn't do it.

Who's collecting mold in the girls' restrooms?

Maybe we should do a joint research project.

I was looking for mold, Mr. Kyle.

Why don't you create a mold that spreads through plantlife? I'll pay you pretty handsomely for that.

Date: 2010-05-01 05:03 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] notstevejobs.livejournal.com
But some molds do that already. Why would you need me to invent something that you can already get?

Date: 2010-05-01 05:04 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] brattykoopa.livejournal.com
Ones that already exist probably already have something that can stop the spread or something.

Can't you go look for mold in your own bathroom or on the highway or something?

Date: 2010-05-01 05:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] notstevejobs.livejournal.com
Yes, probably.

But I wouldn't want to make something that you couldn't stop like that. I make inventions to make the world a better place.

I did! But then I found two new strains in your bathroom, so it was a worthwhile venture.

I could give you a research grant, Apple Kid! How much do you think you'll need? I'm a little strapped until I can find some other place to go treasure hunting, but I'll happily give you what I can spare.

It's good to hear from you - I guess you've been real busy lately, huh?

I usually take investments of $200, if you have that much. If you don't, just beat up hippies until you do

Yes, I've been very busy with all of this mold research. It's amazing what we can learn from mold.

I think I can swing that much. But I -AM- a hippie!

You should come out more. I know mold is pretty cool, but I'm sure there are lots of folks that have missed seeing you around.
